Glider and Tug day at NLMFC Baldock - 2014

Glider and Tug day at NLMFC Baldock – 6th July 2014

The address is Warren lane, Baldock, Herts. SG7 6RR.

Sunday 6th July is the annual Glider day at the field.

All members and guests are invited to come along to participate or just watch. If you have a glider with a tow release in the nose come along and join in. If you have never tried aero towing before there will be experienced tug and glider pilots available all day to assist and a range of tugs suitable to safely tow ANY size model.

It has been stated incorrectly in some of the modelling mags that the adverts for this event say you must have BMFA qualifications to fly your models and a BMFA B or LMA proficiency to fly any model over 7kg at this event.

THIS IS NOT THE CASE

Part of the idea of the event is to assist new aerotow pilots, both tug and glider, to experience the fun of aerotowing. Experienced pilots will be on hand to supervise the flying so whatever level of experience or size of model please feel free to come along for a relaxing days flying.

The club will be running a BBQ on Sunday Starting with Breakfast (8am - 10am) and a lunchtime BBQ & Grill from 1pm, with Tea, Coffee and all types of ice cold drinks served all day - so mark the day in your calendar and come along.

Experienced pilots are also welcome to make use of the superb site and facilities for the day. A range of tugs will be available for ANY size model and a CAA Exemption to 1500 ft has been obtained for the event

Electric powered gliders will also be welcome but no Hotliners please.
