Electrical Switch with Battery Protection

This Electrical Switch is a rugged solid state switch that has no contacts to fail like traditional mechanical switches. It can work on 4~8 NiMh/NiCD cells or a 2S 7.4V Lipoly battery. It features a Lipo mode which offers low voltage protection to the battery should the pack dip below 6.0V.


The switch unit has an integrated LED array that provides a visual status of the battery voltage and also an indication that the circuit is 'live'. The plastic case has two moulded fixing tabs that allow you to mount it easily to your air-frame for a nice clean installation.

Note that this unit does not reduce (step down) the voltage.

The output voltage is always equal to the input voltage. If you intend to use this switch to power on and off your receiver and servos from a 2S LiPo, you should ensure that all of the components in the circuit are capable of handling a minimum 8.4V - this is the voltage of a fully charged 2S LiPo pack. Otherwise, you should include a voltage drop down regulator or UBEC in the RC circuit to lower the output voltage to match the requirements of your on-board RC components.
