This is the Very latest Multicopter Controller Board V3 which supersedes the V1, V2, V2.1 TriCopter/Quadcopter - Controller V1 was a flight control board for 3 or 4 Rotor Aircraft (Trocopter / Quadcopters) and like the V2/2.1 this NEW V3 will control upto six motors. Its purpose is to stabilise the aircraft during flight. To do this it takes the signal from the three on board gyros (roll, pitch and yaw) then passes the signal to the Atmega328PA IC. The Atmega328PA IC unit then processes these signals according the users installed software and passes control signals to the installed Electronic Speed Controllers (ESCs). These signals instruct the ESCs to make fine adjustments to the motors rotational speed which in turn stabalises your Quadcopter.
These control boards also use signals from your radio systems receiver (Rx) and passes these signals to the NEW Larger Atmega328PA IC via the ail (aileron), ele (elevator), thr (throttle) and rud (rudder) inputs. Once this information has been processed the IC will send varying signals to the ESCs which in turn adjust the rotational speed of each motor to induce controlled flight (up, down, backwards, forwards, left, right, yaw).
WHY V3
This board looks just like the previous V2/2.1 HK Boards, but with 2 differences - The board is now blue and the Processing IC is an Atmega328PA, which will extend the amount of Firmware storage space from 16k - 32k -This simply means that the Firmware developers will now be able to increase functionality, and is more capable of future enhancements and upgrades with this extra storage space.
The older Atmega168PA has reached it's limits of firmware memory storage hence this upgrade, but is still fully backward compatible with all currently available firmware.
Based on the popular and already well supported KKMultiCopter Control board, . . . . . .
This control board uses Japanese SMD type gyros and also features state of the art SMT manufacturing to ensure superb quality. This board also uses a user programmable Atmega328PA IC.
Size: 50.5mm x 50.5mm x 23.5mm Weight: 14.5 gram IC: Atmega328PA Gyro: Piezo SMD Input Voltage: 3.3-5.5V Signal from Receiver: 1520us (4 channels) Signal to ESC: 1520us (4 ESCs)
